Palo Alto police are looking for a man who robbed an ARCO gas station on San Antonio Road at gunpoint Wednesday night.
The man entered the gas station at 699 San Antonio shortly after 10 p.m., pulled out a gun and demanded money, police said. The clerk complied with this demand and gave him money from the register. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Police said no one was injured during the incident. Officers responded to the scene immediately after the robbery but were unable to find the suspect.
Police described him as a white or Hispanic male, about 5 foot 6 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery can e-mail or text the Palo Alto Police Department to paloalto@tipnow.org.

Don't they have cameras at these late night gas stations? How about posting some photos before the guy skips town.

699 is the Arco at Middlefield, not at Charleston (840) which came to mind first as a likelier target being closer to 101. I regularly use both at that lightly trafficked hour. Hope I never have to face a gun because I'll probably assume it's a fake and someone might get hurt.

I had a gun pointed against my head one time and believe me, you THINK in your sober moments that you would "do this or do that".. NOT SO ~

Still no surveillance photos or artists drawing of the suspect?
