Palo Alto to host second Twitter Q&A tonight

Mayor Yiaway Yeh and City Manager James Keene will answer questions in 140 characters or less starting at 7 p.m.

Palo Alto Mayor Yiaway Yeh and City Manager James Keene will serve up punchy answers to residents' questions tonight as part of the city's second Twitter Q&A event.

The session will be the city's second attempt to engage its citizenry through live Twitter discussions. Last month, Yeh and Keene held a 30-minute Twitter Q&A, which stretched from 11:30 a.m. to noon. This time, the two will spend an hour answering questions at the event, which will run from 7 to 8 p.m.

Jonathan Reichental, the city's chief informational officer, will host the event.

Residents with Twitter accounts who wish to participate are encouraged to submit their questions ahead of time by supplementing them with the hashtag #AskPaloAlto. People can also track the event by following @cityofpaloalto or by typing #AskPaloAlto into the search field.
