Palo Alto police are looking for a man who they say groped a woman near a Park Boulevard business last Thursday afternoon.
Officers received a report at about 12:44 p.m. on Aug. 28 that a sexual battery had occurred around noon on the 2300 block of Park Boulevard, near Cambridge Avenue. Police said the victim, a woman in her 60s, was talking to the man as they both looked through discarded items to the rear of a commercial building in the California Avenue business district. During the conversation, the man allegedly grabbed the woman's breast over her clothing.
Police said the woman immediately walked away and told her husband what happened. They looked for the suspect but could not find him. They then called the police.
The woman said she had recognized the suspect from seeing him around town. She described him as an Asian male in his 60s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds. He was reportedly wearing gray slacks and she said she had seen him in the past driving a dark sedan.
Police don't believe this incident is related the three other sexual-battery cases that occurred nearby in July and August. Officers arrested a suspect in the two July incidents, while the man who reportedly groped a woman in the College Terrace neighborhood on Aug. 7 remains at large.
