I found this interview with our Mayor Pat Burt to be helpful, intelligent and enlightening about the history of our decades long jobs to housing ratio, and how we can reasonably build more housing while reducing the need for more than necessary. I appreciated his correcting the mistatements by Kate Downing that mislead readers about our laws pertaining to housing. I think you too will find it informative. Mayor Burt spent 8 years as a Planning Commissioner and has been on the Council for 8, 2 as Mayor. He knows land use laws.
