Christopher Scott Cowger, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away in his hometown of Palo Alto, California on February 4th, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born on June 30, 1950, in Palo Alto and remained a proud lifelong resident of the community.

Chris was the devoted husband of Mary Cowger, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they raised two children, Scott Cowger and Rebecca Uptmor. Chris was also a loving and involved grandfather to Elliott and Audrey Uptmor, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. 

Chris built his career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he was known for his dedication and integrity. Outside of work, his true passion was music. A talented musician, Chris played both guitar and drums and found great joy in sharing music with others.

Chris leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and music. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
