"Paly Class of '52 60th reunion"

The hard work of a dedicated committee headed by Barbara Dunbar Whitman, Dick Greif and Marge Higbee Harris paid off this past weekend for over 100 attendees of events celebrating the Palo Alto High School Class of 1952's 60th reunion. The events included a Friday night party at the Telegraph Hill home of classmate John Stewart, a Saturday guided tour of the much-changed but familiar Paly campus, followed by a barbecue, then video presentations celebrating the lives of graduates at Alpine Hills Swim & Tennis Club; and on Sunday a farewell breakfast across from the High School. Many of the now 77+ year-olds had been together since kindergarten and nearly 1/3d still live in Palo Alto. Spouses braved the non-stop conversations with good humor. Plans for the next reunion are under consideration. In this picture, from the Sunday breakfast at Scott's Restaurant, are grad Guido Marx, his wife Lada Sobieski Marx, grad Art Ayres and his wife Veronica Ayres. - Aug 26, 2012
