"Juvenile Hawk on Fence"

Look who came to hang out on our fence yesterday! Audubon says its a juvenile red-tailed hawk, possibly the off-spring of the hawk living in the orchard. It has a magnificent tail, not yet red because of its age, possibly less than a year old. The photo doesn't adequately show the magnificence of this bird! - Dec 4, 2013
