What's the deal with Calming Channing?

Original post made by Giraffe, Duveneck/St. Francis, on Jun 20, 2006

As I turned onto Channing from St. Francis at 6:45 this evening, and noticed no moving cars in either direction as far as I could see, I silently sent a big THANK YOU to the citizens and officials who brought Calming to Channing. Before Channing was Calmed, I used to see a few cars on it every so often. Now, I am more likely to see a sleeping dog.

But, our job isn't quite done! There are still a few intersections which don't have stop signs. Let's get out there and campaign to remedy this really dangerous situation. Forget all that talk of the poor condition of many of our streets; what is really important is that we spend our scarce resources to Continue Calming dangerous raceways such as Channing.

Channing is calm now because the schools are closed.

Wait about 2 months and you will see the bustle.

Please add MORE SPEED-RAMPS for the teenagers in pickup trucks, that would be swell.

Good point on school being out. I'll check back in 2 months and see if there is a bustle.
