Interesting comment from Crescent Park, which never in several lifetimes will be asked to take on a hotel in its exalted backyard.

Didn't the people who live on Pepper notice the industrial park in their backyard when they moved in? It not like its a nature preserve around there.
We need hotels - they are the best way to soak out of towners for tax dollars and they don't require expensive city services (like schools). Lets not blow another Hyatt because of the whining of a bunch of people who already live in an industrial part of town.

There are quite a few hotels being built.
The Sheraton is building another one, Stanford is putting a hotel up in the shopping center, Mings is going to build a hotel, the Palo Alto Hotel downtown is being redesigned, and I think there is a hotel going up on Palo Alto Bowl.
So it turns out, Citizen, that you are the one who is whining.
