Several restaurants offer Thanksgiving dinners. Also, Alice's Restaurant in Woodside offers an Orphans' Dinner every Thanksgiving, if yu are up to the drive.
I'm sorry it will be a sad day for you.
Cafe Pro Bono off California Ave. is open every Thanksgiving. It's a warm, welcoming restaurant, with nice owners and good food.
@mmmmMom. I'm so sorry you think it will be a sad day! Whatever is making you sad, please know there are lots of resources and people in our community would would be happy to talk, cook, keep you company and brighten your day. I'm hoping you'll see more posts with ideas! No one has to be alone!
Echoing other comments: Alice's is great, Cafe Pro Bono is delish. Some churches have organized potlucks - try the Unitarian Church on Charleston if that sounds appealing.
Our whole family had an excellent restaurant Thanksgiving dinner once at a hotel restaurant - I think it was Baccarat. Expensive, but it was the right thing to do at the time.
Best wishes to you & yours. I'm sorry that this is a hard time for you.

Hi mmmmMom (and all),
Call some of the hotels, i.e., Cabana, Weston and others. If I recall Cabana had a nice resturant and maybe they have a buffet-type Thanksgiving dinner.
Also, if it's just the cooking that you'd like to avoid this year, consider places like Whole Foods or Piazza to purchase an already-cooked Thanksgiving meal.
AND . . . By way of this note, I'm sending some positive, healing and healthy energy your way. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you all for your thoughtful comments & good suggestions. It is very much appreciated.
I have decided to have a meal @ Whole Foods: it is close by, in town, & the price is right. I'm thinking it might be interesting to see if any others will be there; perhaps they will enjoy a little conversation.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
