East Palo Alto man sentenced for elder abuse

A 24-year-old East Palo Alto man was sentenced to a year in jail and three years probation for attacking his grandfather and police with a stick last year at his grandparents home, prosecutors said Friday.

I really appreciate the approach the EPA police took in not using deadly force. EPA is a place, perhaps the only place, where I don't fear the police more than criminals. Kudos on getting this young man the help he needs.
