I'm sorry. But I just CANNOT support the claim that GOOD BBQ is "notoriously hard to find in the bay area". Are you serious? Maybe Palo Altans don't want to go beyond the borders of their beloved city because in this "give me what I want right now" app society, good BBQ places haven't linked up with postmates and the like. Get out of your comfort zones and visit Bay Area spots like Everret and Jones BBQ in the east bay. East Palo Alto's own Pastor Clifton Bennett, locally known for his mastery of all things BBQ, opened up shop in Hayward (Just Potato Salad ). I'm not saying this Capelo guy isn't any good (haven't tried it), I'm just arguing that the aforementioned statement is "notoriously" false.

Driving all the way to the East Bay for barbecue dining or take-out is not practical for many. That's why Armadillo Willy's does such a brisk business.
