China is far ahead of the USA at containing this virus. They would have been safer staying in China for a few more months than returning to the USA right now.

Santa Clara County is a much safer place to be than Wuhan China. Just about any place in the US (with the possible exception of NYC) is a much safer place to be than Wuhan China. I don't know of any place in the US where the hospitals were overwhelmed the way they were in Wuhan.

Not sure why you wrote this story. For example I was at Costco the other day. They are limiting the number of people allowed in, as are all stores. The aisles were not packed and shoppers were not frantic.
Esther should read why you should wear a mask. What kind of mask is she wearing? She may be a healer, but she is no infectious disease expert.

Why were these people chosen for the Weekly's Article "Ordinary people, extraordinary times"?
These people are not ordinary Palo Altans!
And their complaints about feeling unsafe about shopping at Costco are strange -
No one is forcing them to shop at Costco. It is your choice.
