This is so sad. Having lived in Mountain View there was a time when my whole life centered around downtown - a way of life that is just gone ... as it is too in Palo Alto pretty much.

I'd go downtown to listen to book talks at Books Inc., and then browse the used books next door. Go down the street for Sono Sushi ( long gone now ) and grab some Gelato at Gelato Classico.

In the Palo Alto Patch just now a doctor mentioned this could go on and on even as long as 10 years if we do not get a handle on it due to -

What are we going to do? One way would be to equip everyone with a cell phone and monitor everyone and who they come into contact with and then when a C-19 case emerges we have to go back, find and notify everyone they have come into contact with. Will people put up with that? What a giant f'in' global bummer.
