Today's Daily Post included stories about these two fires as well, noting that the man who resides in the home that burned had "left a beef brisket smoking on his backyard barbecue overnight". Maybe MPFD and PAFD should join forces and do some community outreach in the form of education. Especially in December.

So sorry this tragedy happened, especially during the holiday season. Grateful no one was injured. A friend just told me about their own near-miss with a fireplace.
