This is just super sad. And truly grateful no human were harmed. Although the emotional toll on those who attend and teach in these classrooms is yet to be evaluated or determined.

This is terrible. I hope that there is a camera surveillance system so that this person (or people) will be caught. Why on earth do you pick upon the most vulnerable? Shameful.

I was surprised that there are special education classrooms at Cubberley!
“Special education services were provided to 813,528 individuals, newborn through twenty-two years of age, in 2022–23. California provides specially designed instruction, at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities. This instruction is provided in a variety of settings that allow infants and their families, preschoolers, students, and young adults to be educated with their peers as much as possible; that is, in the least restrictive environment.”

I’m surprised that all of the special education classrooms are not located on elementary, middle school or high school campuses. This would allow students in special education classes to be “with their peers as much as possible, in the least restrictive environment.”
