I put a TUM Antacid pill in each tomato pot. It works!

Master Gardeners are required to stick to research-based and scientifically-proven information. You won't hear one of them recommend Tums in your tomato pots. If you want to see their work in action, go to the Palo Alto Demonstration Garden in Eleanor Pardee Park.

A Master Gardener would tell you to test your soil for calcium before adding any calcium. As the article clearly explains, lack of calcium in the soil is not usually a problem. The issue is not getting the calcium from the soil to the tomato. Tums can't help with that.
