Thank you for the update on the fire. We still have not heard the actual cause of the fire, will that ever be announced? Hoping that the insurance companies can get their act together soon and that the present eyesore can be cleaned up and then whatever needs to be done to reopen can happen quickly.

Good to know about Mike's opening for weekday breakfast/lunch. Hope to get there soon.

"Meanwhile, Mike's Diner Bar, which narrowly averted eviction last month, is starting its next phase on Oct. 23, when it plans to start offering breakfast and lunch. To mark the occasion, the restaurant at 2680 Middlefield Road will have a special server on that day: Mayor Lydia Kou, who will wait tables between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m."

That happened on Monday. Today is Wednesday. Too bad PAO didn't report this last week when it was announced and advertised,

But there was a nice turnout. Let's hope Mike's survives.
