ART MUSEUM TRIP ...The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center will host a trip for seniors to the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco to see the drawings of Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli. The trip will be Jan. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fewer than three dozen of Botticelli's drawings are known to exist. Works on paper that are more than 500 years old are, by their very nature, fragile. This is the first time that many of the drawings have left their home institutions. This exhibit reunites the Uffizi's "Adoration of the Magi" with the three fragmentary designs on loan from the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Morgan Library. Participants can also view another exhibit at the Legion of Honor as "Drawing the Line: Michelangelo to Asawa" will be shown simultaneously. This exhibit shows five centuries of drawings on paper. Included are line drawings by Michelangelo, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Ruth Asawa and Paul Gauguin. It is strongly suggested that masks be worn at all times in public places and on the bus. The safety protocols are subject to change and will be updated as needed. The event is $60 and you can register by contacting the JCC customer service desk at 650-223-8700. There is a discount for current Museums of San Francisco members.
