Where is a good place nearby to take my teenager to get her ears pierced?

You can try your pediatrician's office.....most of them do ear piercing.

I've gone to Claire's in Valley Fair Mall. They were actually quite careful.

My daughter got piercings at Vibes in Redwood City and I was impressed with their cleanliness and care.
For ears, we also went to a place in the Stanford Shopping Center-- lots of jewelry places that cater to young women do piercing, usually w/the "gun" type of piercer. Simple, hard to mess up-- just make sure the placement is right.
And be sure your daughter follows instructions for turning the studs and keeping them clean. Chances are they'll get infected anyway, but that's not a big deal if you jump on it, using peroxide to kill it...
Good luck!

Both of our daughters have gone to Vizions Salon in Menlo Park (Santa Cruz Ave.) - Sean does a great job!
