The Opinion Page copy editor doesn't seem to know the difference.

Page 8. The main headline at the top of the page. "It's" is a conjunction for "it is."

Well, that makes sense... I looked through the Palo Alto Weekly and couldn't find this mistake. Figured it must have been the Daily.

I don't think the Daily News has a copy editor. There are so many mistakes in that paper that it is ridiculous. They don't seem to fact-check basic things like names.

I remember a recent article about one of the All-Star teams in which a kid named Kirby Gee was called Randy Lee. Another player, Owen Lewis, was called Owen Wilson. They spelled another kid's name wrong twice in the same article. Really sloppy.
