The Middle East countries sell their oil to the U.S. and other consuming countries. Are you saying that they should stop importing foreign currency, Jag?

Clearly, the Iraq war is not for oil. If the U.S. wanted oil from Iraq, it could have simply done a deal with Saddam. Such a deal with the devil would have resulted in lower gasoline prices today.

In case you are too dense to get my meaning, Jag, I am saying that the Iraq war was NOT about oil.

The war in Iraq was never justified by claiming any connection to 9/11.

Sadam tried to assasinate a US President. Pursued WMDs, and slautered thousands of enemies and his own people with them and invaded 2 neighboring countries.

Although he has no formal links to AQ, his connections to other terrorist organizations are well documented.

Again I hear the same old tired and false claim. Nobody in this administration claimed we were going into Iraq because Saddam had something directly to do with 9/11, nor claimed we were going into Iraq because he had WMD. We went in because he defied 12 years of 17 UN resolutions demanding that Iraq tell the world HOW he disposed of the WMD we all knew, for a fact, he had through the 90's. And he wouldn't comply. He believed that his French and Russian friends, who made a lot of money doing business in Iraq, would protect him from any repercussions from defying yet another UN resolution. They almost succeeded. But, poor things, they lost their 40-50 million dollars per year contracts with Saddam after all.

Well, hmmm..6 months of delay in going into Iraq is a long time. Even so, they didn't manage to hide the centrifuges we have found that have one purpose..the 500 tons of near weapons-grade enriched uranium we found, yet there is no nuclear plant in Iraq,...the recently discovered deadly powders in bomb heads. No weapons of mass destruction? What papers are you reading? Oh yes, Saddam was an honest and truthful guy, and we should have believed him when he said that he had gotten rid of everything. He just couldn't tell us how.

A happy side benefit of doing this has been that he is no longer capable of authorizing acts which resulted in the deaths of over a million people..all Muslim......add it up..between the 2 wars he began, stealing from his Oil-for-Food program and thus starving and depriving medical care to Shia's, draining the southern swamps in retributional payback, and torturing and killing anybody he wished for any reason he wished, he was responsible for the deaths of, at the VERY LEAST, 1.2 million Muslims over the last 30 years. That is using the most conservative number even the biggest Saddam supporters will admit is true, which is 300,000 dead "prisoners". Most people believe the number is much higher.

I am proud that my country is one of several responsible for saving the future lives of hundreds of thousands of people..who are real Muslims. Just like we did in the 90s.
