Palestinian Rights in Israel

Original post made by Boaz, Greater Miranda, on Dec 14, 2006

Here is an article that our Middle East correspondent Jag Singh has not posted or commented on:

Basically the Israeli Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that Palestinians have the right to sue the Israeli military for damages caused by some of its operations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

So let's ask the question, do the Jews who used the live in the surrounding arab countries before they were expelled have the rights to sue? Forgetting about that, do the arab citizens of these countries have the right to sue the military? I think we know the answer.

once again Israel has demonstrated that it is a democracy, the sole democracy in the area. True, Israel has it's problems, but so do other democracies.

No wonder Jag has not posted this article--it shows Israel and the Jews in a favorable right and proves that the Israeli justice system once again has not disriminated againstthe Palestinians.
Can the same be said for all the arab countries that Jag champions?

Thanks, Boaz. If Palestinians should sue anyone, they might want to reclaim some of the millions upon millions that Yassar Arafat stashed in Swiss bank accounts. A mega-millionaire freedom fighter! A crook of the highest order, should never have received a Nobel Peace Prize either - he got way too much credit for finally - temporarily - coming to his senses and saying, (for a while, in English) that maybe the PLO shouldn't try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Then they should sue Hezbollah, whose war this summer, in the name of the Palestinians, most certainly set back their cause another decade.

I know why Jag did not have time to post and/or comment on this issue--he is busy attending the Holocaust conference in iran.
