Thanks to Len Ely for being a great guy

Original post made by Bob Heinen, Menlo Park, on Jan 10, 2007

Twenty eight years ago Len Ely welcomed me to Menlo Park. I was from Los Angeles and barely out of college. Len gave me my first impression of Palo Alto: a university town with large expectations of its citizens. Len was its main ambassador, full of integrity and honesty. Len was one of the first investors in the Palo Alto Weekly and I was the business manager. With a dose of humor and a dog-eyed look of trust, he wanted to make sure I wasn't going to lose his money. I'll never forget this meeting at Stickneys in T&C Village. Thank you Len for your help and trust over the years, not only with the Weekly but inspiring me to give back to the community. Whether you are a billionaire of just a millionaire, you are worth every penny!
