The article says
"It was discovered Wednesday after 6 p.m. by a man who pulled over to relieve himself,"
which only documents intent, so maybe he is only guilty of
Intent to commit Public Urination.
I'm sure he would be relieved to find his time in any penile institution would pass very quickly. ;^)

I listen to 1590 on the AM. They did a segment on sex offenders recently, talking about the need to track them. The woman they were interviewing complained that too many offenses get lumped into the "sexual offender" pile and the system does not track the differences. She said someone who is arrested for urinating in public gets the same treatment as a violent rapist.
I really don't consider this to be a laughing matter. Apparently, if that was correct, his life could be ruined.

Did anyone actually "see him" urniate? Or is this all self incrimination?????????? Which would be thrown out in court, I would think...?..........

Yes, transients or any other person uriniting in public get cited. As a misdemeanor, an officer must see the violation in order to be able to cite, or have a member of the public who witnessed the violation make a private person arrest.

Thanks for the update. You really know a lot about urination laws. That's great! Let's keep those transients on the move, and lock em up if they dare to urinate anywhere that is unsuitable, like in your front lawn, or even worse, your begonias. Keep up the wonderful work.
