I cured a small disappointment that our city gov website is not simply paloalto.gov or paloalto.org instead of cityofpaloalto.org (nevermind the new broken website) by discovering, first at Wikipedia and now right here on Paloaltoonline.com, the *other* Palo Altos.
Gotta love this sunset photo of the ship *Palo Alto* just off the beach at Aptos, Web Link (click on the image at top right of that page to enlarge it, then click that image too to enlarge again).
And this Wikipedia disambiguation Web Link list of Palo Altos.
Palo Alto is not only the name of our lovely city. Knowing this I'm happy with the name of our city gov website, if not the broken website itself (Best viewed in Internet Explorer 7? Argh!). I personally *like* light text on dark background only when and where it works. Say, someone in our government able to set the Time Zone listed in the left hand info set on cityofpaloalto.org should check Web Link to see what time zone we are in today (PDT or PST). Which do you think? Don't tell me, tell their wont display in Firefox 'comment form' page. :-)
