Stanford football loses another starter on offense

A week after losing one of its top running backs, the Stanford football team sustained another offensive loss. Redshirt junior left tackle Allen Smith (6-4, 298) required surgery on Monday to repair a torn patella tendon in his left knee and will miss at least six weeks and could possibly miss the rest of the season.
