Our son was a patient of Dr. Bruce Reitz at Stanford Hospital in 1995. He received a heart valve in a procedure called the "Ross Procedure." At the time it was fairly uncommon, so we "went for the best doctor" we could find after much research. We were so happy when we discovered Dr. Reitz at Stanford who had succeeded Dr. Norman Shumway. Dr. Shumway had performed surgery on our son as an infant. Our son is now thirty years old and is married with a bright future, even after suffering thyroid cancer and other health problems. We will always be grateful for Dr. Reitz and his expertise and wonderful nature. Many children have been blessed by this doctor who we believe was sent to us by God. If possible, please forward our comments to Dr. Reitz. Thank you!
