I believe the VA Hospital is always happy to get magazines. Of course, they would prefer newer, but may welcome yours anyway.

You might also like to try Craigs List, or even the Penny Saver, under free items.

I have been at a hospital emergency room in great pain -- for hours -- when there was not a single magazine available to read! They tend to develop legs. Donate them to local hospitals! (Cut out your personal information first.) Don't forget Sequoia and El Camino.
freecycle is an internet source for sharing free stuff. I have rarely had difficulty finding eager recipients for magazines, especially how-to and high-quality magazines.
