Children and trees unite on Earth Day

Students at Nixon Elementary School in Palo Alto teamed with volunteers from Canopy to plant a tree at the Nixon campus in celebration of Earth Day, April 22.

It's great that they are educating our kids to appreciate and support the environment!

It seems to me that the kids care more about the environment than the adults. They are very serious about saving it. Huge turnout - good job!

This was such a nice event ... a great step forward for the environmental awareness of our children. I heard that these trees are less about $50 wholesale (+ the cost of labor for planting them, of course), so that we should hope that this happens more often.
