Condoleezza Rice personally conveyed approval to waterboard detainee in 2002

Original post made by Dr. Ferragamo, Stanford, on Apr 23, 2009

Rice played a greater role than she admitted last fall in written testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee, according to a recent Senate Intelligence Committee report.

As did Pelosi and every other Dem and Repub on the Congressional committee with approved every technique, repeatedly....If we are going to condemn a few, we should condemn them all

"we should condemn them all"

Not at all. We should be praising Condi and and all those Repubs and Dems who supported waterboarding. It worked! From what I read, it saved possibly thousands of innocent lives.

Yeah, and last August I read that CDOs were the path to wealth and financial stability. Absolutely guaranteed.

Paul, do you want to take a stab at the question I posed to Dr. Ferragamo?

I read some of those memos that were released by our president. I think they said that waterboarding was involved in getting some bad guys to talk, and then they were able to understand the network of jihadist threats, which was not availiable until waterboarding was used.

That is why I support Condi and both Repubs and Dems who supported this policy.

Walter,

Well, they censored your post about the petition to name Sand Hill Road for Condi Rice, but I think that is an excellent idea! Where can I sign your petition?

It's an appropriate tribute to a distinguished American dignitary, especially given her Stanford roots. It might also be good for a 2-fer. Something tells me that the green lib clown suited bicycle herds won't be using a road named after Condi Rice.

As for waterboarding, well, I think we could take a lesson from the Russians on dealing with Islamic terrorists. After the Belsan School massacre, the Russians buried the terrorists wrapped in pig skin, to insure (by Islamic beliefs) that they would go to hell. Putin summoned the Saudi ambassador and told him if there was another incident like Belsan, he would nuke Mecca.

Terrorists deal in fear, and the only way to defeat them is to instill 100 times the fear they try to instill in us. Waterboarding is a joke. The idea that somehow Islamic terrorists are going to come to respect anyone who doesn't agree with them is a joke, and not just for us in the west, but Buddhists in Thailand, Hindus in India, etc, etc, etc.

Fear of massive retaliation will work in the short term, but long term, this disease must be eradicated from the body human.
