If you are creating or have created an information-based or higher-level film, please do not enter this festival. This film festival favors simple videos that employ a single basic message for the audience. As a helpful hint, create an animated movie (computer, clay, or doll) with just one message and you are on track to winning a prize. In fact, all three winners of the 2009 festival were animations. I was very disappointed in some of the films that won, especially the South Park video that displayed no thought or expertise in the field. There were many other films that were information-rich and clearly had more time put in, but the kid-produced films that were directed towards toddlers somehow ended up winning. Clearly, the judges have an affinity towards films that don't feature any thought provoking facts. I'm not trying to say that it was a horrible festival, just that it falls way short of a genuine film festival.
