A Stanford student was beaten and robbed by three men early Wednesday morning, police said.
The 19-year-old student was walking on the 3600 block of El Camino Real in Palo Alto at about 12:30 a.m., looking for an open store where he could get something to eat, when he was attacked from behind by three men, Palo Alto police Agent Dan Ryan said. The men "kicked him, punched him, knocked him down," and broke his glasses, Ryan said.
"They pulled his pants off him, went through his pockets," Ryan said.
The men took his cell phone and about $10, and then fled in a white four-door car, driven by another man. The student described the assailants as black men in their 20s, ranging from 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, Ryan said.Web Link
