What does Lala do with Classical music? Does it play the entire work or just movements? Anyone know?

All these jobs in Palo Alto cause too much traffic. And those employees clog our restaurants and stores and drive up the prices. I hope that Apple moves them to Cupertino.

With Lala, you can specify what tracks from CDs you want to play and in what order. You are in control. This assumes that you have either paid for streaming rights ($.10 per track) or for MP3 download (~$.89 per track) or you uploaded your own MP3 of the track. Note that there is a size limit on MP3s, so you couldn't just merge a whole work into a single MP3.
Of course, this assumes that Apple doesn't shut Lala down.
Personally, I think Lala should have held on a little longer (instead of begging Apple to buy them). Once they released players for iPhone and Android, I think their usage (and $$) would have skyrocketed.
Of course, that assumes that Apple would have let Lala release a player for iPhone...

I agree with "R", in the fact that Lala was just ramping up with iphone and android use. This is a huge market and it will be exciting to see how streaming music becomes a much bigger player.

Nimby! Haven't you realize that many of the business' in Palo Alto are gone already? If we kept up with your attitude, Palo Alto would not be getting all the tax monies that we still need for the City coffer. The restaurants are pleased to stay in business here, and I will continue to circle around the blocks to find parking to enjoy the first rate food.

Nimby,
You are completely wrong. The business on University Ave is what makes Palo Alto downtown a place people want to visit. No one wants to visit an empty downtown (such as Los Altos, who is mostly Nail and Hair Salons). The people are spending money that contributes to the City's tax base and benefits you by keeping the roads and city services up and running.
If you are so concerned about the cost of the restaurants then head to El Camino and enjoy the many Fast Food establishments or how about a IHOP.
