Taking the Frenzy Out of College Admissions; Paly Event

Original post made by Maureen Simons, Duveneck/St. Francis, on Jan 27, 2010

The Paly PTSA is honored to host renowned college admissions expert Lloyd Thacker, a college admissions officer and college counselor for thirty years, who will speak on how to restore sanity to the college admissions process. The event will be held on Thursday, February 4th at 7 p.m. in the Haymarket Theater at Palo Alto High School. Mr. Thacker is the founder and Executive Director of the Education Conservancy, www.educationconservancy.org, a non-profit dedicated to improving the college admissions process. Admission is free, but plan to arrive early since a large turnout is expected. Questions? Paly PTSA Programs Chair Maureen Simons mtsimons@sbcglobal.net

Thank you for posting this. It conflicts with the incoming 9th graders course selection workshop for parents (6:30-7:30, English Resource Center). But the workshop is also offered earlier in the day from 12-1:00 so I will attend that one and then be able to attend this one.

Parking will not be easy if two events are occuring this evening.
