Today Honda announced a major recall of its cars going back to 2001 models.
The issue with the drive by wire Prius danger and that of other DBW Toyota cars in PA is that they not only endanger the lives of the owners but also the lives of pedestrians, cyclists and other drivers.
The Prius is prone to uncontrolled acceleration and failed brakes, imagine the results in a congested environment like PA which has so many Prius drivers.
The resale value of these cars must have decline dramatically,
this is a Perrier moment for Toyota, in 1990 Perrier went from a number 1 brand in bottled waters in the US to none existent, it still has not recovered 20 yrs later.

Just wondering, how many accidents in Palo Alto have been attributed to this? With so many of Priuses around here, I would expect that there is an epidemic of accidents.
