Substitute Teachers

Original post made by JLS Parent, JLS Middle School, on Feb 24, 2011

Is it the time of year, illness amongst staff, staff meetings, parent/teacher conferences or what, because my child has had many, many substitutes over the past couple of weeks? Has anyone else noticed?

What is the point of this thread? That's life; there are more important things to be concerned about.

Some staff have had learning conferences, some have been ill. There are a lot of viruses going around now. Watch out for them! There is a flu circulating that is a different strain than the ones in the influenza vaccine.

And be sure you have your Whooping Cough booster. Students in grades 6-12 need to show verification to the district office.

We were just talking about this at the dinner table tonight. Not sure if there is any particular reason but we did note that it seems more subs more often these days.
