243 people could have given their keys to someone who was not drinking or could have taken a taxi.
243 people now have to go to court and could possibly loose a job.
243 people who could have easily killed someone.
New Years is almost here....
Please!! Don't be one of the 243.....
THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK!!!
This message is not from the CHP it is from a neighbor who cares and shares the road with you.

We need mandatory jail time for every DUI. People drink and drive because the current penalties are a joke.

The PAPD recently protected an officer who was almost 3 times over the limit and rolled his Explorer SUV on the entrance ramp to 101
He presumable armed or had a firearm in his vehicle at the time.
The officer should have been fired and prosecuted for being drunk in possession of a firearm--
but no-PAPD refused to give his name tried to hush the whole thing up and kept the drunk on the force--unbelievable.
Egregious DUIs more than 2 times the limit-should have their name, address, place of employment and photo published in the local papers and on the local PD websites

Are the 243's names listed somewhere?

Arrest records should be publicly available. You may have to contact each individual police agency, though. I don't know why the media doesn't just print the names.

I agree! no police officer should EVER be not in control, especially with alcohol and/or drugs. Plain and SIMPLE!
He or she should be in jail, and a BIG BIG FINE.
