Crown Prince Philippe ascended to the throne after his father, King Albert II, officially abdicated today due to health reasons.
Philippe attended graduate school at Stanford during the 1980s and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Political Science.

The outdated institution of royalty is something that should go away.
Keeping royalty around is like maintaining a small plantation of slaves as a memorial to times past, and is completely something that should go away.
