why no air pollution warnings for Palo Alto?

Original post made by parent, Downtown North, on Dec 24, 2013

I noticed that the Menlo Park Almanac and Mountain View Voice publish Spare The Air pollution warnings. Why are these not published on Palo Alto Online? Does the air pollution somehow miss Palo Alto? Or are Palo Alto kids tough enough to not need protection from the pollution?

Spare the air is a joke.

A whistle blower recently came out and said some of the sensors are mounted on on near sources of pollution. Apparently a Mexican bakery and a BBQ joint in Napa causes many a Bay Area Spare the Air days.
