Russian family travels to Menlo Park for 'gift of hearing'

Rimma Krivtsova and her 5-year-old son Ivan "Vanya" Priimak who was born without two fully-formed ears, traveled to California from Russia for an ear reconstruction surgery at the California Ear Institute in East Palo Alto.

This is a heartwarming story, but one wonders why some of the money Russia spent invading Ukraine couldn't have been used to heal their own children.

Hello This is a great news You gave a happiness to this child. I understand his mom how it is hard when your child have a difficulty of hearing. My daughter also have a microtia from left side. She is 19 now and hearing is getting worst while she is growing. I wish to have that kind of surgery for my daughter too. If I can get suggestions or advice my
