Did the drone pilot or fire department notify the airport of the drone flight? The fire was fairly close to the departure end of runway 31, and I don't believe the airport was closed. (At least the Atis broadcast didn't mention it at the time.)

Another reason to close that airport permanently ASAP. Its existence interferes with the general public welfare. Firefighters must be able to do what is necessary without getting clearance from the local wealthy hobbyists.
