EJ Floreal switching from basketball to track at Kentucky

Former Palo Alto High standout EJ Floreal announced Tuesday he will join the University of Kentucky track and field team. Floreal was the big reason the Vikings won the first Central Coast Section boys track and field championship in school history as a junior in 2012.

Great opportunity for EJ to find out how good he can be as a runner, since he has only pursued it as an afterthought to basketball, so far. Both parents are two-time track and field Olympians, so it is indeed in his blood!
Wishing him and the UK program continued success.
