Eleven wins for Palo Alto Weekly in annual Bay Area journalism competition

The Palo Alto Weekly walked away with 11 wins Oct. 1 from the Greater Bay Area Journalism Awards contest, presented by the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club, including best news article, serious feature story and ongoing coverage.

Super news! Congratulations to everyone at the Weekly. We'd be living in a darkness practically Medieval in this town if it weren't for such a wonderful newspaper. From schools to housing issues, zoning to hospitals, police to fire to architectural review boards and local elections, it seems you "cover the waterfront" and then some--spreading fairness and light, and in swift clear prose.
