Prep golf: Palo Alto turns in a championship round

Akira Isayama shot a round of 71, Ahmed Ali and fellow Palo Alto senior Sergei Mata each shot a 72 and the Vikings defended their Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division title Tuesday, nudging past Saratoga, 371-373, at the Santa Teresa Golf Club.

Menlo School has a fourth individual boys golf CCS champion, Andrew Buchanan in 2012.
