That's hypocritical. You want to talk about competitive equity? Priory and all of the other private schools recruit whoever they want within about a 30-mile radius, in many cases even offering them financial aid and merit scholarships to play, leaving the publics with a much smaller pool of top athletes. If you're interested in competitive equity, I suggest you look in the mirror, and begin with the extremely unfair advantages of your own private schools, which shut out countless students while concentrating so much of the financial wealth in exclusive bubbles. Division 5 seems to be the right place for Priory, and if you want to play against the bigger schools, I suggest that you coach for one: given your success, I am sure that a lot of schools would absolutely love to have you as a coach, and you would find yourself incredibly rewarded working with their students. And then you will understand a lot more about equity.
As for me, I will cheer for a Menlo-Atherton, Paly, or any other public any day over a private high school.
