SHP's 'wacky' trip to the CCS girls swimming championship

Sacred Heart Prep's rise to the top of the Central Coast Section girls swimming championship Saturday in Hollister took a circuitous route and was nearly derailed by the pandemic.

Shame that so many school didn't get to participate. I feel sorry for many kids who didn't get to CCS last year AND this year. SCVAL's bone headed decision to shift seasons resulted in all 14 of their teams being excluded including Paly and Gunn. Not sure why Peninsula League was not there as well (MA, Sequoia, Woodside etc) they have 17 schools and were all shut out.
