I'm happy as a clam that this thing is finally gonna happen, but I've got a concern, which someone else also brought up.

WHY on earth would you store irreplaceable historical items in the BASEMENT? Everyone is aware of basement flooding in Palo Alto!

Hopefully along with the exhibits of the city's history, and high tech and other achievements there will be exhibits of the many streets in poor repair; videos of people running red lights on El Camino, Embarcadero and Oregon Expressway; and the bloated staff at city hall, and an homage to the hopeless processes to get anything done by the city government and the endless permitting morass faced by anyone trying to build or remodel anything in the city.
