Readers dish on their all-time favorite Peninsula restaurant bites

To mark the 100th edition of the Peninsula Foodist newsletter, we surveyed our readers on their all-time favorite bite from a local eatery. Your responses offered an array of dishes covering a wide swath of communities and cuisines.

I’m so glad that somebody mentioned Hearts Cafe on California Avenue in Palo Alto, which used to serve the most delicious ricotta pancakes. Their cappuccino was great, too. We were sad when they closed to open a b&b in Napa Valley. I hope it went well for them.

Thanks a lot for all of these tasty recommendations! Can I add the mole poblano at Estrellita’s Restaurant in Los Altos? This is my favorite place for excellent, unusual Mexican food. We’ve gone there for years.
