Insurance companies are in business to make money and not to pay off multitudes of potential claims.

State Farm and Allstate have dropped out of further insuring California residential properties while AAA and Farmers have ceased insuring homes in Florida.

I just got my yearly bill for Allstate Flood Insurance. I am hoping that if they are doing the Flood Insurance policy then they will continue with the House insurance. Guess I will find out in December. My house policy is through 1 January 2024. But - the flood insurance policy is handled by a different location than the house insurance. The categories of insurance are farmed out to different locations.
